About Heather

My mission is to educate women of all backgrounds on the normalcy of pregnancy and childbirth as well as empower women to actively participate in their care. I strive to ensure that I provide individualized care to each woman. It is my belief that women’s bodies were made to give birth naturally with little to no intervention.

From as far back as I can remember, my passion has been to help people. This passion quickly evolved into helping families in their journey to bring new life into the world. I thoroughly enjoy providing families with the experience they desire. Labor support is one of my favorite things to do. I love utilizing different non-medicated therapies to assist in discomfort and the labor process. You can always be sure that I will be cheering you on!

I graduated from Bethel University where I obtained my master’s degree and became a Certified Nurse Midwife in 2019. I started my career caring for mostly Amish and Mennonites in Lancaster, PA. I have had the opportunity to provide care at home, in the birth center, and in the hospital.

Outside of midwifery, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family. In September 2021 I delivered my beautiful daughter in the water at the birth center I previously worked at surrounded by 12 family members and coworkers. My appreciation for the opportunity to provide births outside the hospital only flourished after being able to experience this myself. I even caught another woman’s baby while I was in labor! I have had the pleasure of being able to have my daughter at work with me ever since she has been born.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures. I love trying new things and learning about other people’s beliefs and values.
